Space Saving Products & Tips for Your Kitchen

I’ve tried a few of these in previous homes but will surely be implementing them in our new place.

1.

Get a sliding pull out under trash can

We love a wine rack. Instead of using up counter space or purchasing a bar cart, opt to hang your wine.

Install a paper towel holder under cabinet

Another item that takes up unnecessary counter-space. You can mount the holder underneath a cabinet or onto a wall.

4.

Install a hanging fruit basket

There’s nothing that grinds my gears more than food with no designated home. Clear your counter by putting bananas, onions, or your garlic in this fruit basket.

5.

Buy a 2-tier lazy suzy for oils or spices

This is great for overcrowded cabinets, your spices won’t get lost in the back. Or you can use it for oils or spices that sit on your countertop if you don’t have cabinets.

Install under-sink expandable organizer

These organizers help to maximize the cabinet space below sinks. It also adds space in your kitchen (or bathroom).

Buy a slide out pantry

This product is so simple yet genius. For your small New York apartment, maximize the space in-between your stove and refrigerator with the slide out pantry.

Adjust the pegs in your cabinet, try and move the cabinet shelf up to make room for taller condiments like oils & ACV.

if you'r spice cabinet is too small for your oils, check the pegs to see if you can take them out and adjust the shelving. most standard cabinets you can. Making a compartment taller will allow you to store taller condiments that couldn’t fit and have to be stored on your counter.

Add magnectic strips to spices

Create more cabinet space by transferring your spices into jar then add them to the side of your fridge or underneath your cabinet. These jars are by the brand Gneiss Spice.

Rebekah Christie began creating accessories in 2009 when she was living in Philadelphia. She was having trouble getting use to Philly being her permanent residence so she stayed home for months. She then began designing headbands and hair accessories. She was discovering her inner designer which was the beginning of "Make it Happen". She grew up in a very creative household where her parents promoted and delved in the arts themselves. With the support and help from them she began a line of headbands, bangles, hair bows, and feather earrings. She sold her pieces at street festivals and markets in Philadelphia. In 2010 she moved back to New York, settling into Brooklyn for the next three years. Since she began her journey as a jewelry designer, she has built a following throughout New York City. Charmed Feathers has been sold at shops in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and D.C. CF has also been sold in France and Canada. "The guidelines I follows are adapted from my family and into my designs. Myfather is a man that does not fear color, and Charmed Feathers accessories are always colorful and vibrant. My mother is a woman who taught me to be myself and to not follow the crowd. I like to believe that being true to yourself is as natural as you can get". -Rebekah Christie In 2012 she attended the Art Institute of New York majoring in Fashion Merchandise and Marketing.
