Decluttering and organizing your home office can oftentimes be an overwhelming process, so it is best to compartmentalize. You can begin with throwing away the items or clutter that is simply just trash. This allows you to efficiently manage the process and see what items are useless. You can then start to analyze what is in your home office and what needs to be there versus what has just ended up accumulating in this area. Once you analyze your space, begin taking out those items who don’t belong there. Then, you can begin to arrange the items that actually do belong in there and subsequently, reach a more organized state where you can think and execute work efficiently.

How do I Sort Clutter in My Home Office Quickly?

If you’re pressed for time or don’t want to pour loads of time and effort into cleaning your home office, it can be useful to do it in stages. Grab your phone and set 4 sporadic 10 minute timers throughout the day. You can choose the times that are more convenient for you, but the goal is to get uninterrupted cleaning time. These timers allow you to do as much as you can within that 10 minute timeframe, and when timer is up you can go back to work as usual. Having set times gives you no excuse to just quickly pick up the things around you for 10 minutes, and this method can also decrease some of that cleaning anxiety.

Sorting Your Desk Clutter Into Piles

You can also take this time to sort your clutter into piles. Make different piles for different respective areas of your home. Sort your clutter depending on where that misplaced item actually goes, that way when you begin putting things away in their proper places it won’t be confusing or overwhelming. You can easily work by pile and bring all of those items to their respective locations and you’re essentially done!

Rebekah Christie began creating accessories in 2009 when she was living in Philadelphia. She was having trouble getting use to Philly being her permanent residence so she stayed home for months. She then began designing headbands and hair accessories. She was discovering her inner designer which was the beginning of "Make it Happen". She grew up in a very creative household where her parents promoted and delved in the arts themselves. With the support and help from them she began a line of headbands, bangles, hair bows, and feather earrings. She sold her pieces at street festivals and markets in Philadelphia. In 2010 she moved back to New York, settling into Brooklyn for the next three years. Since she began her journey as a jewelry designer, she has built a following throughout New York City. Charmed Feathers has been sold at shops in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and D.C. CF has also been sold in France and Canada. "The guidelines I follows are adapted from my family and into my designs. Myfather is a man that does not fear color, and Charmed Feathers accessories are always colorful and vibrant. My mother is a woman who taught me to be myself and to not follow the crowd.
