Abode University: The 12-Week School to Align Your Head, Heart & Home
Teaching cycle breakers to declutter their lives and home.
You think you’re lazy. But you’re just overwhelmed and lonely.
Babes, you need relief (in addition to order). That’s why you can’t do the simplest things around the house without falling apart.
And you needed relief like yesterday.
Your clutter (the stuff you see and don’t see) is an emotional tyrant.
And if I could, I’d call the cops on it myself.
But your stuff is weighing your spirit down, along with all that unprocessed sh*t that’s causing literal havoc in your home.
And you’re this close to breaking the cycle of grief, shame, and quiet suffering.
You don’t need a new cleaning routine. You need to grieve.
Real Bad.
Three things can be true:
NO. You’re not behind in creating a space you love. YES. There are gaps in how you've been decluttering. NO. There’s nothing wrong with you for not knowing.
Clutter is just as emotional as it is visual. And your stuff is just a physical manifestation of unfinished business, what you don’t know, your struggles, and the weight of being a cycle breaker.
Mam, is that your grandmother’s tax documents from 1873?!!
Those unprocessed feelings are weighing you down so heavily, that there’s no space to declutter. No wonder you don’t have the capacity to clean, let alone dream.
KEMOY:
“In going through my stuff I realize I am not dreaming big enough..... holding on to things that no longer serves me. Blocks my blessings of what I actually deserve”
Abode University is a 12-week virtual organizing school that teaches you how to heal, declutter, and reclaim your home, and yourself. We use a culturally rooted curriculum and community support.
Wanna see what’s possible when your home starts holding you?
Now lookatchuu: living in a home that’s so comforting and nourishing, it melts away life’s inconveniences and your daily stressors.
Imagine decluttering as a healing ritual and not a chore.
Where you’re releasing the emotions you can’t see.
Addressing clutter the right way: compassionately and strategically.
This is what happens when you declutter with intention. When you see organizing as the mind, body, and soul experience it is.
Bring your full presence, cause we’re not backsliding this time. Let’s address the root and do this fully.
STACIE:
"This is more than just, you know, learning to organize and getting a new routine or whatever. It's looking at life holistically and what's broken and what can be fixed and how can we fix it from a holistic standpoint. And then how can I keep my feet moving? Like, how can I keep moving? And this is the way by letting that stuff flow out, bless somebody else and keep it moving.”
Your environment says something about you. From your neighborhood to your home country. Whatever it’s saying, that’s your stuff to deal with.
Your stuff is what you're holding onto and why.
Leave the surface-level solutions and the exhausting loop of “clean, crash out, clean, repeat.” We’re aiming for real change.
Which requires depth.
And this school is built for sustainable change due to its deep roots in structure and systems. Abode’s repeatable, flexible process is taught alongside a culturally rich curriculum through a Black American lens. One that you can return to again and again, no perfection required. Cause being graceful and making steady progress in your home is possible to do, and on your terms.

KRISTIE:
Thank you for this space and curriculum! We are always right on time and never late, but Abode has helped me keep my commitment and move forward!
No, it’s not just you and your home struggling. There’s no growth without community and accountability.
Get ready to say goodbye to feeling isolated in your clutter and hey girl heyy to being held by a supportive, shame-free community. We’re replacing silent struggle with sisterhood.

"The range of age, walks of life, and experiences of the community really made me feel comfortable to curate my home and implement systems that are fitting to where I am now. Thank you, Rebekah, for setting a tone of warm, gentle transparency on your online platform that carried over to the Abode community"
You can’t declutter if you’re mentally exhausted and spiritually fatigued. And you definitely won’t make progress if you don’t believe you can have a clean and organized space.
Pushing yourself harder to organize won’t fix your self-perception either.
You ARE worthy of the space you dream of.
So, what would it mean to:
Shift your identity, not just furniture.
Not feel guilty for being selfish.
Say no without explaining yourself.
Release your mother’s anxieties.
Declutter limiting beliefs while decluttering your home.
Let go of the disorganized, incapable, or unworthy label.
Or break free from how the world (cough America) sees you.
Would it be worth it to see?
Seeing yourself differently is the missing piece to keeping your space organized. Accepting yourself as you are is the link to breaking your clutter loops.
JESSICA:
Abode has given me a mirror to better help me understand myself, my patterns, and my habits concerning my space. More than that, it has given me the tangible tools and road map to help me transform old mindsets and patterns. I’m excited to see how my space will continue to transform as my mind transforms!
Pack your charcoochie board and lunchbox, cause school is in session, and it’s not what you expect.
In addition to your 3 classes, you also get an Orientation. A special class at the start of each semester to get familiar with the courses, meet your instructors, get your textbook (yes, we have a textbook), and get questions answered before class starts.
So boom, here’s your school checklist:
Register for class
Select your elective
Purchase your textbook
Attend Orientation
Meet your instructors
Tell me this is not giving modern, black girl homeschool, cozy coworking vibes, with a touch of 90s classroom nostalgia??!!
If you feelin’ it, get your best Whitley-inspired fit and lets go!!
JESSICA:
Thank youuuuuuu!!!! You’re amazing. The house tour emails have been perfect! And the Hillman Bulletin?! An absolute masterpiece 🤌🏿🤌🏿.. thank you for reaching out to validate and thanks again for creating such powerful resources.
Who am I? Petey Pab' motherf*
Kidding, I’m….telling you all you must hold onto, is you, is you, is you…
No, for real, I’m Ms. Love, your Home Therapist, and I want to shed light on the potential heaviness surrounding you and your home.
Whoosah girl. Like building a home in SIMS (my favorite PC game), I got the cheat codes too. And it’s going to be a lot more nuanced than Hoarders (which I used to binge with my mom).
You’ve just become a part of my assignment to make as many Black American homes as safe, comfortable, and peaceful as possible.
Imagine what we could do if OUR homes were in order. Imagine how much you could do if you had the time, energy, and capacity to contribute to the collective the way you really want to. The way your spirit is calling you to.
I want you to do away with putting yourself last. Following rules that don’t serve you. Carrying traumas that shame you. Instead, I want you to choose joy, fill your cup, declutter relentlessly, say no, and return to the version of yourself that’s in the vision of your ancestors.
ATIYAH

ASHLEY:
“A lot of the things we worked on weren’t just the corner of a room, it was the corner of your mind, the corner of your heart, your family. There’s deeper layers to all of it.”

One Band One Sound: Decluttering isn't hard. What’s hard is doing it alone. Lets do the hard part together.
If you’re a homemaker, a former collector, the family archivist, a caretaker, the Chief of your home, or someone who wants to live with less, Abode University is meant for you. You may also
Have been a part of a program that taught organizing, but didn’t see you
Be overwhelmed but refuse to give up on your space
Have grown up in chaos, survival mode, or under pressure to be “the strong one.”
Need a way to organize your space that considers your spirit and your work
When you're organizing, you're reconnecting with items associated with every version of you, but all at once. That’s why it’s been hard. And that’s why we do it together with kinfolk to get it.
KRISTIE:
“The biggest reason to start is that you are no longer alone with Abode. Before, it could feel like you were in the middle of the ocean with no paddle to get back to shore. Abode gives you a professional organizer, a safe community, and a comprehensive, holistic plan!”

Address your clutter with compassion and from a different angle

KALI:
“You consistently show up. I see the cadence, I see the accountability you have for yourself. That kind of presence is rare in a program, and it’s why I’ve actually shifted how I live in my space. The evidence was my spirit first… and then the results came. That’s how I know Abode is going to reach thousands of people. It already changed me.”
